The area used to be a warehouse district and industrial neighborhood, but is now becoming a restaurant, shopping, and nightlife district with new condominium developments as well as renovations of historic buildings, most notably The Creamery, which used to be a dairy production center but is now restaurants and offices. *Hayes Barton *Historic Oakwood *Longview Gardens *Moore Square *Mordecai *North Carolina State University *Raleigh Country Club *Ridge Road *State Government District: This area is bounded by Peace Street on the north, Jones Street and the North Carolina State Legislative Building on the south, Capital Boulevard on the west, and N Wilmington Street on the east.
